Archive notes: After “A Day in the Life,” Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band doesn’t just end — it slips into one of the most famous hidden loops in rock history. On the UK vinyl pressing, a locked inner groove contains a few seconds of spliced Beatles chatter, often described as gibberish. On manual turntables, the loop would repeat forever, turning the record into an endless, surreal mantra until the listener stopped it.
